Seven young local artists have been recognized as winners in the Earth Day Aiken Youth Art Contest. Each young artist created a work of art as part of a contest organized by the Earth Day Aiken planning team. The contest was open to artists in grades K – 5.
Each artist was asked to illustrate the contest theme: “What we can do today to help save tomorrow.” Art work was submitted by students from four local schools.
Individual awards range from $75 to $25. The school of the first place winner receives a $200 award for the school art program.
In the spirit of Earth Day, Milbrook Elementary and East Aiken School of Arts proudly claim victory in the art contest, showcasing the boundless creativity and environmental passion of their students. Christian von Buedingen and Robyn Rosbach stand out as the first-place winners, each receiving a $75 gift card for their remarkable artwork.
